1. Who we are and what this covers
Owl Media and Design, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Stitchwork: Cozy Embroidery. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is handled in connection with our mobile game, related purchases, support, and this website.
We are responsible for the personal information we process for these purposes. Some service providers also process information for their own purposes under their own privacy notices. The services used can vary with your device, the features you use, and your privacy choices.
2. Information we handle
- Player and sign-in information: a player or account identifier, your display name, and information used to recognize your account. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple provides an identifier and, if requested and shared by you, your name and email address. You may choose Apple’s private relay email option. We do not receive your Apple Account password.
- Gameplay information: game progress, completed patterns, scores, stars, in-game buttons, settings, and purchase entitlements used to provide the game. Whether particular records stay on your device or are synchronized depends on the features enabled in the app.
- Purchases and subscriptions: products purchased, transaction or receipt identifiers, purchase dates, subscription status, and information needed to validate purchases or restore access. Payment providers receive the payment and billing details you submit to them.
- Device, usage, and advertising information: IP address, device and operating-system information, app version, identifiers including advertising identifiers where available and permitted, approximate location inferred from IP address, app interactions, ad views or clicks, and diagnostic or performance information.
- Support messages: contact details and any information you choose to send when asking for help. Please do not send passwords or full payment-card details.
Information comes from you, your device and use of the game, and the sign-in, payment, subscription, and advertising providers described below.
3. Why we use information
We use information to operate the game, recognize players, maintain progress and entitlements, process and verify purchases, manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, fix errors, protect against fraud, and meet legal obligations.
We also use advertising and measurement services to show ads, measure installs and campaign performance, and understand interactions with our ads and app. Personalization and cross-app tracking depend on applicable law, device permissions, and the choices available in the relevant consent flow.
4. Services we use
Sign in with Apple · Account access
Apple supports authentication and may provide an app-specific identifier, name, and email address you choose to share, including a relay email address. Apple handles its own authentication data under its privacy notice.
Sign in with Apple & Privacy ↗Google AdMob · Advertising
AdMob helps display and measure ads. Its SDK may process IP addresses, device or advertising identifiers, ad interactions, app interactions, and performance or diagnostic data. Ad delivery and personalization depend on the app configuration and your choices. Ad partners may also receive information as part of delivering ads.
How Google uses information from apps ↗RevenueCat · Purchases and subscriptions
RevenueCat helps validate receipts, manage subscriptions and entitlements, and analyze purchase activity. It processes purchase history, transaction information, app user identifiers, and relevant device information. Optional attributes or attribution information depend on the integrations enabled. RevenueCat’s purchase management is distinct from payment-card processing.
RevenueCat privacy notice ↗ · Data processing terms ↗Stripe · Payment processing
Where a checkout uses Stripe, Stripe processes payment and billing information, transaction records, and device or fraud-prevention signals. We receive the transaction information needed to fulfill purchases and handle billing or support. Stripe’s privacy notice explains its roles and its own processing.
Stripe privacy policy ↗Meta / Facebook · Advertising measurement
We use Meta advertising tracking to understand advertising performance. Depending on the integration and permissions, this may involve app events such as installs or purchases, device or advertising identifiers, and connection information. Meta may associate received information with information it holds to measure, deliver, or personalize advertising, subject to applicable settings and law.
Meta privacy policy ↗Apple or another applicable app store also processes purchases made through its platform under its own terms and privacy notice. Additional service providers, if introduced, must be reflected in our disclosures before the relevant new processing begins.
6. Advertising, tracking, and your choices
- Apple tracking permission: on supported Apple devices, manage app tracking permissions in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Denying tracking permission restricts tracking covered by Apple’s rules; it does not stop all operational data processing or necessarily remove ads.
- Other device settings: your operating system may offer controls for advertising identifiers and ad personalization. Available settings vary by device and version.
- Consent and privacy options: use any consent or privacy-options controls presented in the app to make or change your choices. Required consent must be obtained before the corresponding optional processing. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.
- Provider controls: Google and Meta offer their own account-level advertising settings. These controls may not cover every data use by our app or other providers.
- Account and purchase choices: revoking Sign in with Apple or deleting the app does not automatically cancel a paid subscription. Manage subscriptions through the platform or checkout where you subscribed.
Accepting our Terms of Use is not consent to personalized advertising or cross-app tracking. Requests to access or delete information, or to opt out of covered sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, can be made by emailing [email protected].
7. This website
This website presents game information, screenshots, videos, and legal pages. Its current website code does not load AdMob, RevenueCat, Stripe checkout, or a Meta Pixel. Those app integrations should not be confused with tracking on this website.
Website hosting and delivery providers receive connection information needed to serve pages and files, such as IP address and browser information. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which also receives connection information when those requests occur. A hosting platform may use its own authentication or necessary storage to control access to a private preview.
8. Retention, security, and international processing
Information is kept for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, considering account activity, purchase and tax obligations, support needs, fraud prevention, and legal claims. Deletion requests may be subject to limited legal or security exceptions. Backup copies may remain until removed through the relevant backup cycle.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and risks. No system or method of transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, the appropriate legal transfer mechanism and protections must apply. You may request more information about relevant safeguards through our privacy contact.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and receive certain information in a portable form. You may also have rights to opt out of covered targeted advertising, sale, or sharing; appeal a denied request; and complain to a privacy regulator.
Where European or UK data-protection law applies, relevant legal bases may include providing the service under a contract, legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, compliance with legal obligations, and consent for processing that requires it. The appropriate basis depends on the particular activity; consent is not replaced by legitimate interests where consent is required.
Where applicable US state privacy laws apply, eligible consumers may exercise the rights those laws provide without unlawful discrimination. An authorized agent may act on your behalf where permitted. We may need proportionate information to verify a request and will respond within the applicable legal period. Device-level tracking choices do not necessarily exercise every legal privacy right.
10. Children’s privacy
Stitchwork’s intended audience includes children under 13. Their personal information requires additional protections under applicable children’s privacy laws, including the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
A parent or guardian may email [email protected] to ask about information associated with their child, request review or deletion, or request that further collection stop. We may need to verify the requester’s authority before disclosing or deleting account information. Please do not send a child’s identity documents in an initial email.
A parent’s agreement to terms, a device’s tracking permission, and Sign in with Apple are not, by themselves, substitutes for verifiable parental consent when the law requires it. The final children’s notice must describe actual collection, use, disclosure, retention, and parental controls.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the game, our services, or legal requirements. The date at the top will identify the latest revision. For material changes, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
